Andrew is an EMDR trained psychotherapist at Midwest Center for Human Services in Madison, WI. He is knowledgeable in the realm of psychotropic medications and has worked with individuals, couples and families struggling with mental health problems for over 10 years. He specializes in trauma work, bipolar disorder, anxiety and substance use. In October of 2014, he was asked to present the lecture for the biennial Debra Beebe Scholarship:
Andrew is the author of the 2013 memoir, Pleading Insanity (Archway Publishing from Simon & Schuster). The book details his personal devastation living under the description of bipolar disorder. The publication has been endorsed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specifically, featured in On Wisconsin magazine (Winter 2013). His lectures across the United States clarify common misconceptions of bipolar disorder and incite fresh ideas for treatment. Andrew is a lecturer in the School of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Topic Expert for GoodTherapy.org.
